A Few Quick Bread Recipes

Bread is a common food item found in every household. There would hardly be any person who dislikes bread. Snacks made of bread are such recipes which are easy to cook and turn out to be tastier. Your culinary experimentation could reach a different level with stuff made from bread. You can serve bread recipes in breakfast or as delicious evening snacks or as perfect starters.
If you are a working lady and always run short of time, then bread can be your favourite ingredient to cook wonderful recipes. This is the same with men even who are either single or are not very apt in making varied food items.

Bread Pulao
2 Tbsp vegetable oil
1 chopped onion
2 green chillies
1 chopped tomato
1/4 Tsp turmeric
1/2 Tsp sugar
1/4 Tsp salt
1 tsp lemon juice
5 slices bread
Fresh curry leaves
2 tsp tomato catch up
Fresh coriander leaves

Heat oil in a pan and add chopped onion, green chillies, tomato, turmeric, sugar and salt and fry it for 1 minute. Add curry leaves, tomato catchup and stir continuously.
Cut bread slices into small cubes and add it to the mixture. Cook for 2 more minutes till all the ingredients mix well. Sprinkle corianders leaves and squeeze lemon juice. Your delicious bread pulao is ready to be served.

Bread Pizza
6 bread slices
2 tsp butter
1 tbsp cheese
2 onions sliced
2 green capsicums sliced
2 tomatoes sliced
8 mushrooms sliced
1/4 Tsp salt
1/2 Tsp sugar
1/2 cup pizza sauce
2 tsp tomato catch up
1/2 cup cheese grated
Heat butter in a pan and add onions, capsicums, mushrooms, tomatoes, sugar and salt. Saute for two to three minutes.
Take bread and spread pizza sauce and tomato catchup on each bread slice and put the cooked vegetable on it. Grate some cheese over the slices and place the bread on a hot pan. Cook till the cheese melts. Your bread pizza is ready to be served with oregano and tomato ketchup.

Bread Samosa
6 slices bread with removed crusts
Oil as required
350g potatoes
50g peas
1/2 Tsp turmeric
1 onion chopped
2 garlic cloves chopped
4 green chilli chopped
Fresh coriander chopped
Boil potatoes and peas. Mash the potatoes and keep aside.
Heat oil in frying pan and add asafetida (hing). Add onion, garlic, green chilli, turmeric and salt and cook for 1 minute. Add the boiled potato and peas and cook for another 2 minutes.
Flatten the slices of bread with the help of a rolling pin. Place the vegetable filling at the centre of the bread. Brush the bread edges with some water and then fold it corner to corner to give it a triangular shape.
Heat oil in a deep frying pan. Put the bread samosas, and deep fry them until golden. Serve hot with coriander chutney or tomato sauce.
